New Building Fund

More than $1,861,000 has been donated or pledged so far!  With other funds and the sale of our current building, we’re more than 70% there — but we need you to help build a better community!

A Great Community Deserves a Great Library

The library plays a central role in a community -- a monument to enduring civic and educational values.  With that in mind, ask yourself “What does our current library say about Geneseo?”

The fact of the matter is that our library is no longer able to meet the growing demands for programs, services and technology in Geneseo.

Right now we have the extraordinary opportunity to create a modern library -- one that will provide a variety of programs for children and adults as well as access to the latest in information technology.  A new library will celebrate the traditions that make Geneseo a wonderful place.

Moreover, a new building will enhance the community’s connection to reading, life-long learning, and personal enrichment.  To make this happen, a Geneseo Public Library District Building Fund has been established.  The goal of the campaign for the new library is to raise $3,200,000.  Much of the funds will come from grants, trusts, memorials, and the sale of the current library.  But we also need support from you.
