Approximately 4 acres have been purchased along North Chicago Street, near the Ogden Avenue intersection. This land will adequately provide space for a 14,000-square foot facility, ample parking, and room on all sides for future expansion. Furthermore, this location will allow the new facility to become an important part of the educational corridor that includes the Geneseo High School, Geneseo Middle School and St. Malachy’s School.

The new space will be flexible, attractive, and adaptable, allowing for new services and equipment. In addition to doubling the space available for physical collections, the new building will include the latest technology to support access to a wide variety of databases and online reference maters. (Click here to see more external views.) As you can see, the plan also features inviting spaces for reading, enlarged spaces for public gatherings and speciality areas for genealogy and children.
